The History of Limestone College

Many Extended Campus students will only visit the Limestone College main campus when they come for their graduation. Jackie Conyers had always known she wanted to help people and give back to her community. It was this motivation that led her to work as a cosmetologist at the Victory House Nursing Home. Although she was employed as a cosmetologist, she found herself helping her clients with other matters outside of that realm.

The Limestone College Extended Campus site in the Lowcountry has been serving students since 1989. The Lowcountry site is unique in that it meets at Yemassee Baptist Church in Yemassee, South Carolina. The town of Yemassee was chosen as the site location because of its central location in the Lowcountry.
