About the Limestone College Library

The A. J. Eastwood Library was built 50 years ago to accommodate a growing student body and an expanding library collection. Construction of the library began in October of 1965 and was completed in August of 1966. It was named for former Limestone College President Andrew Jackson Eastwood. The Library celebrated its 50th year as part of Limestone College’s campus this past fall, which included a birthday cake, library-themed cookies, and giveaways for students.

The Library is full of resources for main campus and Extended Campus students. In the fall of 2016, the library updated and redesigned their website to ensure easier access for students, faculty, and staff. The new homepage features a clean, simple interface that gives its users access to all of the library’s resources on the main page.

On this main page, students have access to E-Books, Research Databases, Course Guides, Easybib, and more. In addition, students can use the “Ask a Librarian” feature to chat with Librarians and get answers to their questions.

The Library has a portion of their website dedicated specifically to Extended Campus students. In this section of their website, Extended Campus students can learn how to make the most of the library’s resources and take advantage of all of the search engines, articles, databases, and citation tools the library offers. Students also have the opportunity to register for library webinars to learn research tips and tricks.

The Librarians at the AJ Eastwood Library work hard to ensure the Extended Campus students have the same learning and research opportunities as the students on the Main Campus. For more information about the library, visit their website, or read their Spring Newsletter.
